The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship Resource Center is honored to serve the churches partnering with CBF by providing biographical information on prospective ministers to inquiring congregations. The CBF Resource Center matches certain basic employment criteria regarding vacancy positions to candidates who submit their résumés. Education, ministry experience, theological beliefs and other pertinent ministry data are included in the data match. Personal and professional knowledge of the candidates is often limited. Congregations are urged to follow up on Candidate References and verify other background information. This is an “information access ministry” and is not an endorsement or recommendation of particular candidates.
This information is intended to be a service to CBF-related churches. Selecting a congregational minister, whether a pastor or other staff member, is the responsibility of the local church as led by Jesus Christ. CBF acts solely to receive and refer résumés. Applicants voluntarily contact us. The Reference and Referral office, after making preliminary contact and matching basic information, forwards appropriate candidate résumés to churches requesting such information.
